Nella notte tra il 4 e 5 febbraio, alla Crypto.com Arena di Los Angeles, si è tenuta la cerimonia dei Grammy Awards 2024. La serata, presentata da Trevor Noah, affiancato sul palco da Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, Lionel Richie, Christina Aguilera, Lenny Kravitz, Maluma, Mark Ronson, Taylor Tomlinson e Samara Joy. ha visto trionfare soprattutto Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, le Boygenius, SZA e Billie Eilish.
Per la sessantaseiesima edizione dei premi, sono state aggiunte tre nuove categorie: miglior performance musicale africana, miglior album jazz alternativo e miglior registrazione pop dance. Altre modifiche introdotte quest'anno hanno riguardato la riduzione del numero dei candidati complessivi nelle quattro categorie principali ("Album of the year", "Record of the year", "Song of the Year" e "Best new artist") da dieci a otto.
Tra gli otto artisti in nomination in ciascuna delle categorie principali, hanno trionfato: Taylor Swift con "Midnights" come "Album of the year", Miley Cyrus con "Flowers" come "Record of the year"; Billie Eilish con "What Was I Made For?" dalla colonna sonora di "Barbie" come "Song of the year"; e Victoria Monét come "Best new artist".
